Day of Remembrance for Traffic Victims

On November 16, Washington Gladden Social Justice Park hosted central Ohio’s observance of the World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims. Community members gathered to honor those who have been killed or seriously injured on our roads. Loved ones shared memories, and the event also recognized the emergency responders who serve in times of crisis. The gathering was organized by Friends and Family for Safe Streets Columbus, a nonpartisan group working to improve roadway safety and post-crash care.

Events like this reflect the park’s purpose as a place for reflection and community awareness. The park is available for gatherings that align with its mission. Learn more about hosting an event at socialjusticepark.org/park-use.
